Black*Eiffel: The Seed Cathedral.
One of the coolest things I have ever seen. Seed classification… to the extreme. The “cathedral” displayed thousands of seeds collected by Royal Botanical Gardens. Pretty cool, huh?

I came to the realization this weekend that I have never been camping. I have always assumed I would be able to rock the rugged outdoor living, but only now do I realize I have no evidence to back up that assumption. Perhaps one of these fire starting kits would be a necessity.
design is mine : isn’t it lovely?: start a fire….
Texas Cookin’ by Guy Clark
I woke up this morning with this song playing in my head, really loud.
I was sitting eating my lunch on a park bench when a grandmother and her grandson walked by. She was explaining their itinerary, “We are going to take a left, go through the little city, look at a few shops, maybe get some ice cream, and then head back home.”
He looks up at her and asks, “I’m sorry, Can you repeat that? All I heard was ice cream” He didn’t have any attitude, just curiosity. I completely understood.

Today, was one of those days that just felt like summer. Everything was completely wonderful.
Went to a lake with Ada and Katherine, which was not only beautiful, but the water was fantastic. There is something remarkable about swimming in clean, clear, still water. It is impressive that after centuries of people doing who knows what, it still remains pure.

If our lake trip wasn’t enough fantastic summer fun for you no worries, there’s more. We went…
strawberry picking!
The whole day was a whirlwind of fun in the sun.

I finally bit the bullet and exchanged the completely dead lilacs and replaced them with roses and lavender.
I am the worst with flowers, because they always demand so much and even if you give them what they want (rare in my case) they still die. Depressing.
I think, if I ever decided to become a cat lady (and got over my dislike of animals). I would call my clan of cats The Glass Cats and name them after all the siblings in JD Salinger’s books.

Naturally, a weekly radio show would be created, entitled “It’s A Wise Cat”.
