Weekend of Bagpipers
This weekend, I will be watching the parade that goes in front of my house every year. Hello bagpipers!
Tiny giraffe’s that are adorable, but not real and actually an ad campaign.
If hipsters could eat cookies, they would eat these cookies.
More and more balloons. But these ones are of the hot air persuasion.
Peeing while in a romper, the step-by-step instructions everyone needs.
Great house, with great colors, and everything in it is great.
I like birds and I like mobiles. Meet the birdmobile.
Floral lettering because regular fonts are stupid.
Meeting of the minds: Michael Cera and the Jersey Shore cast.
Hope your weekend is full of bagpipers and other fun things.
Hooray for the Weekend!
Can’t wait to go ^here^ today. My weekend has been in full swing since Friday, but it was rainy the whole time. So, what’s my weekend plan? Read, lay in the sun, and eat watermelon.
Here is a bunch of links to things that are sort of cool:
I know I posted about balloons last week, but these balloons are even better because you can buy them and give them to people and each one is made one of a kind for you! And did I mention that they are amazing?
Is this a kite or a sail boat in the sky? You’ll never know.
I want these shorts so badly. They are both high-waisted and scalloped. Everything you could ever need in life.
I would move to New York City in a flash for this internship.
Something everyone should make, all you need is a freezer.
Have so much fun with color.
Hard hitting news: New, expensive toilets to take over plumbing industry.
For the modern locket lover.
Tats for City Rats

I would get this temporary tattoo, but I am not confident that I truly love NYC more then Milton. He seemed pretty into the city in the documentary To Inform and Delight.

Kodak’s Coloramas
Worked on an advertisement for Kodak today in my design class. And found some really interesting history on the company.
There were these large photo prints called Coloramas which Kodak made. They were gigantic (18×60 feet) transparencies that were backlit by natural light in Grand Central Station, and other locations.

Take a look at the Kodak site to see more. (go to the gallery and sort by subject). In total there were 565 coloramas displayed publicly from 1950 to 1990. Some of these are currently in the archive at the George Eastman House. Find more information about the series here.
Also here is a very sad article about the last Kodachrome processing machine.

Happy “your weekend is almost over”
I took this. And, I know, once again I am caught mid-weekend, but keeping up with life is hard.
Article on old vegetables on Plymouth Plantation. Women’s kitchen gardens were generally an acre. And they didn’t have glasses. Life sucked.
An amazing cottage in Nova Scotia.
Things you bring/wear in Paris to ensure you don’t look like an idiot.
Horrible Bosses was funny.
Best new nicknames for Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley.
The only good thing to come out of fake eHarmony videos.
Seats for everyone.

Embroidery: The Cool Thing
This post made me think I would like embroidery. It looks like it would be similar to a puzzle: tedious, mind-numbing, and a cause of scoliosis. I love puzzles.
